Several non-profit animal advocacy groups have come together and are offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who has information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the alleged serial dog rapist in San Bernadino Counrt, California. This, after 3 dogs experience vaginal prolapses and then dumped.
A local animal control investigator denies ever saying there were 14 cases in the County in. the last month and it’s the worst they’ve ever seen. It’s a smack in the face, they say, to dogs and the community after several people claim they heard the officer say just that.
The hope now is that this person can be caught before they strike again.
Updates on the Dogs:
Mabel (Brindle Pittie): Spayed and underwent prolapse repair surgery. She is now in a foster home.
Butterfly (Fawn Boxer): With B&B Boxer Rescue. The county spayed her, but surgery for the prolapse hasn’t been performed yet. The rescue’s vet is assessing whether surgery will be necessary.
Peppermint (French Bulldog): Spayed but did not receive prolapse surgery. She is currently with Retired 2 Rescue and undergoing vet care.
Rachel Wagner shared that Travis, a community member, described the situation as critical and uncertain on how to proceed.
