Sign: Man Casually Throws Pup Over Stair Railing, Breaking Her Leg In The Fall

Los Angeles, CA – A California man is facing a felony animal cruelty charge after a video showing him casually picking up a puppy and throwing her over the railing of stairs at a Koreatown apartment complex went viral on social media. People outraged by what they saw on the video began calling the police, demanding that the man responsible be arrested.

In the heartbreaking footage, the puppy can be heard screaming in pain and terror; she suffered a severely broken leg after plummeting down the stairs.

The man charged for the cruel incident is 27-year-old Joeboury Coleman.

Coleman’s neighbors tell Fox 11 News cruel instances like this happen on a regular basis and say they have been calling (the authorities) for “months and months.”

Joeboury Coleman casually inflicted pain on this puppy, and his neighbors say that he has done it many times before; he clearly is no stranger to violence, displaying a disturbing pattern of cruelty and a blatant disregard for the well-being of innocent animals. Please add your name to the petition to hold this man accountable for his despicable actions! We need your support to ensure that this case is not dismissed.

TARGET: George Gascón, District Attorney of Los Angeles County

WHY THIS PETITION MATTERS:

We the undersigned demand that Joeboury Coleman face the maximum sentence for felony animal cruelty. Additionally, we demand that he be prohibited from owning or residing with animals in the future. This man must be held accountable for his cruel behavior.

Individuals are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Animal Victory relies upon the authorities and the court system to determine guilt or innocence.

Note: This puppy has been taken to an area animal shelter for care. She is reportedly being treated for her broken leg (which may need to be surgically repaired) and malnutrition. The police also removed a cat from the residence who has also presumably been taken to an animal shelter.
