Florida Judge Denies Motion To Dismiss Case of Man Charged With Killing Dog

Animal Advocates Turn Out In Force As They Continue The Fight For – JUSTICE FOR DEXTER

Another rally took place earlier today outside a Florida courthouse for the “Justice for Dexter” case. Domingo Rodriguez, 66, and his attorney left the court after Judge Keith Meyer denied their motion to dismiss the charges.

Dexter, a 4-year-old bulldog mix adopted by Rodriguez, was found dead in May, his head removed and discarded in a bag in mangroves. Evidence tied bags found in Rodriguez’s home to the one Dexter was discovered in, and investigators noted inconsistencies in his statements.

Rodriguez faces charges of animal cruelty and improper disposal of animal remains. With the dismissal motion denied, his next court date is set for December 5th. Animal advocates are already organizing another rally to demand justice.
