Mark Longo tells The New York Post, “I had my own kind of squrrel dad account, my own Instagram. And it’s me doing my workouts and a lot of the times, you know, I don’t have time to make [dual] content like I used to. I just tag my squirrel dad account from the peanut video I posted so it gets double the clip views. Every once in a while, a shirtless photo [on P’nut’s page, too], but I completely separated myself from this entire thing. Obviously, people were going to find both and try to associate them.” According to The New York Post, the Longos had their upstate property raided and P’nut and Fred the raccoon were both euthanized over rabies concerns due to their close contact with humans.

What the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation under the leadership of Governor Kathy Hochul did was completely unnecessary. Going to Peanuts Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary Inc. and then taking these two family members, euthanizing them, and then saying they were complaints about wildlife and they were very concerned about rabies. I like this guy Jake Blumencranz He not only represents the district that grew up in, he’s an animal advocate. He’s a New York State lawmaker. He’s crafted Peanut’s Law, he wants to make change.

An investigation is underway by Dallas Animal Services (DAS) concerning the welfare of multiple dogs at a property located at 3218 Fordham Road in Dallas. Concerns include possible backyard breeding, dog fighting, and overall lack of care for the animals.
A squirrel with nearly a million social media followers was euthanized after New York Department of Environmental Conservation officers seized the animal from a local sanctuary.
BREAKING NEWS in the case of a former Missouri police officer in connection with the death of his K-9 partner. Local media is reporting that former Savannah, Missouri, police sergeant Daniel Zeigler entered a not-guilty plea in Buchanan County court earlier today. On June 20, Zeigler not only left his K-9 partner, Horus, in their police vehicle, but he also turned off a backup system that would have alerted him and, at the very least, opened the windows of the vehicle. Zeigler reportedly discovered K-9 Horus 12 hours later in the hot car.
The backstory? Zeigler found Horus, called Chief David Vincent, and then Zeigler, the chief, and another individual took Horus from Zeigler’s house to city-owned land, dug a hole, and buried him. No one informed the community. Several days later, the chief announced the news, saying Horus had died due to complications from being left in a car after an overnight shift. Zeigler was put on paid administrative leave 11 days later.
A group of animal advocates fought to obtain information about Horus crossing the rainbow bridge and to learn the location of the burial. They then made a makeshift memorial. Later, an anonymous donor provided a headstone for Horus, and a service was held—all organized by the animal advocates. Without them, these tributes would not have happened. City officials have claimed that no coverup was intended and that they were simply in shock.
Zeigler’s next court date is set for November 5, for a trial setting, as Zeigler seeks a change of venue, aiming for a place where he believes he can receive an impartial jury—something he contends may not be possible in the Savannah area.

They didn’t say how but did apologize. Little Bear’s mom then received an anonymous call stating the employee had been fired. That employee, caught on Little Bear’s mom’s Ring doorbell camera last Tuesday, shows what we believe to be former UPS driver Dennis Huebert of Denison, Iowa, jerking and pulling Little Bear’s tether for what appears to be no reason.
