An investigation is underway by Dallas Animal Services (DAS) concerning the welfare of multiple dogs at a property located at 3218 Fordham Road in Dallas. Concerns include possible backyard breeding, dog fighting, and overall lack of care for the animals.
A squirrel with nearly a million social media followers was euthanized after New York Department of Environmental Conservation officers seized the animal from a local sanctuary.
The Gulf Coast Humane Society is seeking public support for the medical care of a severely neglected young dog discovered in Corpus Christi.
Pennsylvania State Police have arrested a man on felony aggravated cruelty charges following the discovery of several injured puppies and multiple puppy deaths.

BOLO – A guy who identified himself as “Chris” called the East Pennsboro Township Police Department and said he found puppies at a local park. Not long after that, a milk crate full of puppies was abandoned on the steps of the police station.
The puppies were then taken to the The Davis Dog Farm—about 20 miles away—where they’re getting a lot of TLC. Local media reports that some of the puppies had upper respiratory infections, but they’re responding well to treatment and are happy and healthy.

By now, so many of us have heard the story of Trooper. The dog found tied to a fence on a busy Tampa, Florida area road with the water rising and nearly up to his neck. A Florida Highway Patrol Trooper rescued then later named “Trooper” and he was taken to the Leon County Humane Society in Tallahassee, far away from the real danger zones. He was never returned to his owner. The Humane Society reports they’re getting so many calls about Trooper and people wanting to adopt him but that got me thinking. Caught on camera and for all the wrong reasons. Now, stay with me here because I’ve confirmed a lot of information today.
Kern County, California. The video is now making the rounds. Here’s the info. That’s Kern County Animal Control Officer Tipton—yes, that name is confirmed—caught on camera reportedly beating and dragging the 2-year-old, 60-pound mixed breed dog. Officer Tipton went out on a call for a stray and, at one point, tranquilized the dog. That’s when you see him reportedly dragging her back to the truck. The Kern County Animal Services Director told me there’s definitely no reason to do what the ACO is seen doing. The vet later examined the dog, and thankfully, no injuries were found. They also scanned the dog for a chip, but no luck. She was wearing a collar, but the director tells me they don’t expect anyone to reclaim her. Instead, he hopes a 501(c)(3) rescue steps in, and there’s already been some interest.
As for Officer Tipton, he is off until Monday. When he returns, the 4-year veteran will be questioned. After that interview, a decision will be made about his next steps. Once a decision is made, the Animal Services Commission will hear any appeals. An update will be provided early next week. A Florida Highway Patrol trooper rescued a dog named “Trooper” in the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Milton.
A pit bull was rescued this morning by the Florida Highway Patrol near Interstate 75 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard in Tampa after being found tied to a fence in rising floodwaters.
I SAY – DO NOT – I REPEAT – DO NOT leave your animals TIED to ANYTHING or LEAVE THEM BEHIND.
This poor dog would have DROWNED. Right now, they’re focusing on the last of the evacuations. Animals CAN’T run from the storm. Humans CAN.
