About Us

Founder, Anchor, & Advocate – Paul Mueller

My motto in life is: “Whenever I can help an animal, that brings joy to my heart.” After recently retiring from a 30-year career in television news, I have dedicated myself to being another voice for the voiceless. During my years in television, I was already an animal advocate, but time constraints limited my involvement. Now, with more time at my disposal, I can fully commit to my passion for animal welfare.

My current work focuses on networking animals through adoption, fostering, and rescue. I expose stories of animal abuse, providing crucial contact information for law enforcement and district attorneys to ensure that people’s voices are heard and justice is pursued. My journey in animal advocacy began with rescuing greyhounds when the greyhound tracks started shutting down, giving me a deep understanding of the importance of rescue work and the transformative power of giving animals a second chance.

Today, I share my life with a Rottweiler named Asia, my 4-legged soulmate who truly rescued me. #AsiaTheRescueDog has become a symbol of the mutual rescue and unconditional love that animals bring into our lives. In my new role, I leverage my media experience to highlight the plight of animals and the urgent need for community involvement. By sharing stories and connecting individuals with resources, I aim to foster a more compassionate society. My work is driven by the belief that every animal deserves a loving home and that each of us has the power to make a difference.

When I’m not advocating for animals, I enjoy spending time with Asia, exploring nature, and engaging with others who share my passion for animal welfare. My retirement has opened up a new chapter in my life, one where my commitment to helping animals continues to bring joy and fulfillment.

Exposing people who commit animal abuse and working to ensure they legally pay the price for their actions.

Working with lawmakers on putting “teeth” into existing laws or help in creating new laws for the protection of animals.

Reporter, Advocate – Diane

My name is Diane and after growing up in New Jersey, I moved to South Carolina in 2017. I was a nurse for 12 years, I have 3 boys, and 4 grandchildren, and 4 grandpups! I also have 3 fur babies of my own. I am at home now due to a disability, so when Paul gave me the chance to hop on his bandwagon, I jumped on it! I always have loved animals my entire life!  My family used to call me the dog whisper. No matter what, I could always get a dog to calm down! My Mom always told me I had a gift for animals. My dream is to own a farm, and take all the senior dogs and the dogs on the euthanasia list, rescue them, and let them live on my farm ! I would have all the dogs, and cats I could handle! Hopefully someday I can win the lottery!

As for right now, I take care of my 3.  First, there’s Axle, my shepherd, who is 7 and my special anxiety dog.  Then there’s Axle’s half brother Remi who turned 3 on 9/ 11, whose name is short for Remembrance, for all the victims of 9/11/2001. Then we have Mr. Bonez, my Pitbull mix who was my brother’s dog, when my brother, my best friend, died suddenly in August, 2022, I took Mr. Bonez home with me! I can’t wait for the rest of my journey in life.

Advocate, Helper – Freddie Martinez

Freddy Martinez is a dedicated advocate for animal welfare, with a deep focus on giving a voice to animals who cannot speak for themselves. His passion for rescue work is rooted in his own personal experiences as a dog dad. Eddy, his cherished companion, was rescued from the streets eight years ago. Her sweet demeanor and unshakable loyalty have brought endless joy into his life, and she quickly becomes a favorite of everyone who meets her. Freddy also fondly remembers Blue, another rescue from an abandoned puppy litter, whose memory continues to inspire his dedication to helping animals in need.

Freddy’s commitment goes beyond his love for his own pets—he is a staunch opponent of dog breeding, believing that the staggering number of animals in shelters should be a priority for potential pet owners. He advocates for adopting rather than shopping, working tirelessly to raise awareness about the plight of shelter animals, and speaking out against the harmful impacts of overbreeding. Through his work, Freddy aims to inspire compassion, encouraging others to open their hearts and homes to animals in need, and to become active participants in the movement to protect and uplift these innocent lives.
