Change in Venue for Former Missouri Cop Fired In Connection With K9 Partner’s Death

Justice for K9 Horus.

A change of venue in the case of his now former handler who’s charged with misdemeanor animal abuse in connection with K9 Horus’s death.

Horus’s now former handler, Daniel Zeigler, was fired and has pled not guilty to misdemeanor animal abuse. That’s after a plan he, Chief David Vincent, and a neighbor reportedly cooked up once they found Horus dead in the back of the vehicle after 12 hours in the summer heat and the backup system turned off.

The Missouri Attorney General and Zeigler’s attorneys have agreed to the change of venue. The next step? A phone conference at 11 a.m. on November 22nd to set a trial date.
