Pregnant Texas Dog Rescued Hours Before Euthanization And It Took A Village To Make It Happen

Thanks to your support, the pregnant dog from the San Diego, Texas shelter, who was on the euthanasia list, has been rescued and now has a name—Grace. After a whirlwind journey, she was transported from San Diego to Victoria and is now safe in Houston with Bella’s Blessing Rescue.

Brianne, who is caring for Grace, says the dog is a bit shut down but very sweet. Grace has shown some confidence by exploring the backyard and even untucked her tail. She also allowed Brianne to feel her belly, indicating her growing trust. Grace is now resting, and Brianne believes she’ll come out of her shell soon, saying, “Grace just wants to trust someone so badly.”

A special thanks goes to the Animal Defenders Alliance for helping transport Grace to Houston. For now, Grace will stay in foster care with Brianne.

If you’d like to help Grace and her soon-to-be-born puppies, there is a wishlist available on Bella’s Blessing Rescue’s TikTok. For those on other platforms, the wishlist link is also available on our website, TheRealPaulMueller.com. Stay tuned for updates as we follow Grace’s journey into motherhood.
